Flow Quality Parameter Study Low-Speed Regime Review

Abstract

The flow quality parameters study is an investigation into the importance of flow quality parameters and the current ability of wind tunnel characterization personnel to measure those parameters. The study is divided into five flow regimes, low-speed, subsonic, transonic, supersonic, and hypersonic. This presentation provides an overview of the results for the low-speed flow regime and prompts for a discussion about how to best proceed with the study.

Thermal Recovery Testing & Investigations in CE-12 Free Jet Calibration Facility

This presentation reviews thermal recovery testing practices in the CE-12 Free Jet Probe Calibration Facility at the NASA Glenn Research Center. Investigations were conducted to diagnose errors identified in test results, as compared to theory. Proposed solutions and future monitoring of the facility conditions are also discussed. Information in this presentation is intended for discussion with the AETC-supported Wind Tunnel Characterization Working Group during the 2023 Face-to-Face Meetings July 25-27 at NASA Glenn Research Center.
