Materials Data on YNbO2 by Materials Project
YNbO2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/amd space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Y is bonded to six equivalent O atoms to form edge-sharing YO6 octahedra. There are two shorter (2.32 Å) and four longer (2.36 Å) Y–O bond lengths. Nb is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent O atoms. All Nb–O bond lengths are 2.20 Å. O is bonded to three equivalent Y and two equivalent Nb atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and corner-sharing OY3Nb2 trigonal bipyramids.
