Materials Data on YMgPt2 by Materials Project
MgYPt2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two MgYPt2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt atoms. Both Mg–Pt bond lengths are 2.58 Å. Y is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt atoms. Both Y–Pt bond lengths are 2.43 Å. Pt is bonded in a linear geometry to one Mg and one Y atom.
