Materials Data on Y2ZnCd by Materials Project
Y2CdZn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Y2CdZn ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Y is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd and one Zn atom. The Y–Cd bond length is 3.19 Å. The Y–Zn bond length is 3.00 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Y atoms. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Y atoms.
