Materials Data on Y2CdIr by Materials Project
Y2IrCd crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Y2IrCd ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Y is bonded in a linear geometry to one Ir and one Cd atom. The Y–Ir bond length is 2.44 Å. The Y–Cd bond length is 3.25 Å. Ir is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Y atoms. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Y atoms.
