Materials Data on Y2AlCd by Materials Project
Y2CdAl crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Y2CdAl ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Y is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd and one Al atom. The Y–Cd bond length is 3.23 Å. The Y–Al bond length is 2.90 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Y atoms. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Y atoms.
