Materials Data on VSnPd by Materials Project
SnPdV is half-Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. V is bonded to four equivalent Pd and six equivalent Sn atoms to form a mixture of distorted face and corner-sharing VSn6Pd4 tetrahedra. All V–Pd bond lengths are 2.67 Å. All V–Sn bond lengths are 3.08 Å. Pd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent V and four equivalent Sn atoms. All Pd–Sn bond lengths are 2.67 Å. Sn is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to six equivalent V and four equivalent Pd atoms.
