Materials Data on Tm5Pt3 by Materials Project
Tm5Pt3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Tm sites. In the first Tm site, Tm is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Pt atoms. All Tm–Pt bond lengths are 3.00 Å. In the second Tm site, Tm is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Pt atoms. There are a spread of Tm–Pt bond distances ranging from 2.88–3.25 Å. Pt is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine Tm atoms.
