Materials Data on TbWO5 by Materials Project

TbWO5 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tb4+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Tb–O bond distances ranging from 2.29–2.49 Å. W6+ is bonded in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry to five O2- atoms. There are a spread of W–O bond distances ranging from 1.80–2.11 Å. There are five inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal non-coplanar geometry to two equivalent Tb4+ and one W6+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Tb4+ and one W6+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Tb4+ and one W6+ atom. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Tb4+ and one W6+ atom. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Tb4+ and one W6+ atom.
