Materials Data on SrTiFeBiO6 by Materials Project

SrBiFeTiO6 crystallizes in the trigonal R3 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sr2+ is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 2.57–3.10 Å. Ti4+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form distorted TiO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent FeO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 20–21°. There are three shorter (1.87 Å) and three longer (2.15 Å) Ti–O bond lengths. Fe3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form FeO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent TiO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 20–21°. There are three shorter (1.99 Å) and three longer (2.11 Å) Fe–O bond lengths. Bi3+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O2- atoms. There are three shorter (2.27 Å) and three longer (2.57 Å) Bi–O bond lengths. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Sr2+, one Ti4+, one Fe3+, and one Bi3+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Sr2+, one Ti4+, one Fe3+, and one Bi3+ atom.
