Sr2Ca2Co3CuO10 crystallizes in the triclinic P1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are sixteen inequivalent Sr2+ sites. In the nineteenth Co+3.33+ site, Co+3.33+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form CoO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two CoO6 octahedra, a cornercorner with one CoO4 tetrahedra, and a cornercorner with one CuO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 22–39°. There are a spread of Co–O bond distances ranging from 1.81–1.93 Å.
