Materials Data on Sn2Ru by Materials Project

RuSn2 is Khatyrkite-like structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ru is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Sn atoms. All Ru–Sn bond lengths are 2.82 Å. Sn is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ru and one Sn atom. The Sn–Sn bond length is 2.97 Å.

Materials Data on Ba(Sn2Ru)3 by Materials Project

Ba(RuSn2)3 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ba is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight Sn atoms. There are four shorter (3.56 Å) and four longer (3.60 Å) Ba–Sn bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Ru sites. In the first Ru site, Ru is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven Sn atoms. There are a spread of Ru–Sn bond distances ranging from 2.57–2.76 Å. In the second Ru site, Ru is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven Sn atoms. There are a spread of Ru–Sn bond distances ranging from 2.63–2.88 Å. There are four inequivalent Sn sites. In the first Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to three Ru atoms. In the second Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Ba and three equivalent Ru atoms. In the third Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ru atoms. In the fourth Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Ba and three equivalent Ru atoms.
