Materials Data on ScZnIr2 by Materials Project
ScIr2Zn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two ScIr2Zn ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Sc is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ir atoms. Both Sc–Ir bond lengths are 2.25 Å. Ir is bonded in a linear geometry to one Sc and one Zn atom. The Ir–Zn bond length is 2.48 Å. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ir atoms.
