Materials Data on ScMnPt2 by Materials Project
ScMnPt2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two ScMnPt2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Sc2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Sc–Pt bond lengths are 2.31 Å. Mn2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Mn–Pt bond lengths are 2.50 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Sc2+ and one Mn2+ atom.
