Materials Data on Sc4Al by Materials Project
Sc4Al is Iron carbide-like structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fd-3m space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of eight Sc4Al clusters. Sc is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to one Al atom. The Sc–Al bond length is 2.61 Å. Al is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four equivalent Sc atoms.
