Materials Data on Sc2AlPt by Materials Project
Sc2PtAl crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Sc2PtAl ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Sc is bonded in a linear geometry to one Pt and one Al atom. The Sc–Pt bond length is 2.40 Å. The Sc–Al bond length is 2.80 Å. Pt is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Sc atoms. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Sc atoms.
