Materials Data on Sb4F15 by Materials Project

Sb4F15 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pca2_1 space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Sb4F15 ribbons oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. there are eight inequivalent Sb sites. In the first Sb site, Sb is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four F atoms. There are a spread of Sb–F bond distances ranging from 1.96–2.29 Å. In the second Sb site, Sb is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to four F atoms. There are a spread of Sb–F bond distances ranging from 1.93–2.34 Å.
