TaRhSn is half-Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ta is bonded to four equivalent Rh and six equivalent Sn atoms to form a mixture of distorted face and corner-sharing TaSn6Rh4 tetrahedra. All Ta–Rh bond lengths are 2.69 Å. All Ta–Sn bond lengths are 3.10 Å. Rh is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Ta and four equivalent Sn atoms. All Rh–Sn bond lengths are 2.69 Å. Sn is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ta and four equivalent Rh atoms.
