Materials Data on Rb3Bi2 by Materials Project
Bi2Rb3 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Rb sites. In the first Rb site, Rb is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Bi atoms. There are a spread of Rb–Bi bond distances ranging from 3.76–4.17 Å. In the second Rb site, Rb is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Bi atoms. There are a spread of Rb–Bi bond distances ranging from 3.92–4.17 Å. Bi is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to nine Rb and one Bi atom. The Bi–Bi bond length is 2.98 Å.
