Materials Data on Pt2O by Materials Project
Pt2O is Cuprite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pn-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Pt1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent O2- atoms. Both Pt–O bond lengths are 1.97 Å. O2- is bonded to four equivalent Pt1+ atoms to form corner-sharing OPt4 tetrahedra.
