Materials Data on PrS3 by Materials Project
PrS3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Pr4+ is bonded to twelve equivalent S+1.33- atoms to form a mixture of distorted face and corner-sharing PrS12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (2.90 Å) and six longer (3.25 Å) Pr–S bond lengths. S+1.33- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Pr4+ atoms.
