Validating Modern NRG Oncology Pelvic Nodal and Groupe Francophone de Radiothérapie Urologique Prostate Bed Contouring Guidelines for Post-Prostatectomy Salvage Radiation: A Secondary Analysis of the LOCATE Trial

We used the patterns of recurrence on {sup 18}F-fluciclovine positron emission tomography (PET)–computed tomography (CT) in patients enrolled in the LOCATE trial after prostatectomy to evaluate how well the most recent NRG Oncology and Groupe Francophone de Radiothérapie Urologique (GFRU) contouring recommendations encompassed all sites of recurrence in the prostate fossa and pelvic nodes in comparison to former Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) recommendations.

Dynamic three-dimensional maps of solute concentration and solute arrival times in synthetic and geologic porous media

Experimental and training data associated with the publication entitled ‘Three-Dimensional Permeability Inversion Using Convolutional Neural Networks and Positron Emission Tomography’ (published in WRR, DOI: 10.1029/2021WR031554). The dataset contain three-dimensional maps of various properties on four geologic rock cores obtained from X-ray Computed Tomography and Positron Emission Tomography imaging measurements. The synthetic training dataset used in the publication is also attached.

Involved-Field Radiation Therapy Prevents Recurrences in the Early Stages of Hodgkin Lymphoma in PET-Negative Patients After ABVD Chemotherapy: Relapse Analysis of GHSG Phase 3 HD16 Trial

The HD16 trial of the German Hodgkin Study Group (NCT00736320) demonstrated that radiation therapy in early-stage Hodgkin lymphoma without risk factors cannot be safely omitted, and therefore combined modality therapy (CMT) remains the standard treatment. To demonstrate the local effect of consolidating involved-field radiation therapy (IF-RT), we performed an analysis of the recurrence pattern of positron emission tomography (PET)-negative HD16 patients.

Integrating Multiomics Information in Deep Learning Architectures for Joint Actuarial Outcome Prediction in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Patients After Radiation Therapy

Novel actuarial deep learning neural network (ADNN) architectures are proposed for joint prediction of radiation therapy outcomes—radiation pneumonitis (RP) and local control (LC)—in stage III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Unlike normal tissue complication probability/tumor control probability models that use dosimetric information solely, our proposed models consider complex interactions among multiomics information including positron emission tomography (PET) radiomics, cytokines, and miRNAs. Additional time-to-event information is also used in the actuarial prediction.

Primary Mediastinal B Cell Lymphoma in the Positron-Emission Tomography Era Executive Summary of the American Radium Society Appropriate Use Criteria

Primary mediastinal B cell lymphoma (PMBCL) is a highly curable subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that is diagnosed predominantly in adolescents and young adults. Consequently, long-term treatment-related morbidity is critical to consider when devising treatment strategies that include different chemoimmunotherapy strategies with or without radiation therapy. Furthermore, adaptive approaches using the end-of-chemotherapy (EOC) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) scanning may help to determine which patients may benefit from additional therapies. We aimed to develop evidence-based guidelines for treating these patients.

Initial Results of a Phase 2 Trial of 18F-DOPA PET-Guided Dose-Escalated Radiation Therapy for Glioblastoma

Our previous work demonstrated that 3,4-dihydroxy-6-[18F]-fluoro-L-phenylalanine ({sup 18}F-DOPA) positron emission tomography (PET) is sensitive and specific for identifying regions of high density and biologically aggressive glioblastoma. The purpose of this prospective phase 2 study was to determine the safety and efficacy of biologic-guided, dose-escalated radiation therapy (DERT) using {sup 18}F-DOPA PET in patients with glioblastoma.

Positron Emission Tomography Imaging of Functional Transforming Growth Factor β (TGFβ) Activity and Benefit of TGFβ Inhibition in Irradiated Intracranial Tumors

Transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) promotes cell survival by endorsing DNA damage repair and mediates an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. Thus, TGFβ activation in response to radiation therapy is potentially targetable because it opposes therapeutic control. Strategies to assess this potential in the clinic are needed.

Towards the Stable Chelation of Radioantimony(V) for Targeted Auger Theranostics

Abstract Antimony‐119 ( 119 Sb) is one of the most attractive Auger‐electron emitters identified to date, but it remains practically unexplored for targeted radiotherapy because no chelators have been identified to stably bind this metalloid in vivo. In a departure from current studies focused on chelator development for Sb(III), we explore the chelation chemistry of Sb(V) using the tris‐catecholate ligand TREN‐CAM. Through a combination of radiolabeling, spectroscopic, solid‐state, and computational studies, the radiochemistry and structural chemistry of TREN‐CAM with 1XX/nat Sb(V) were established. The resulting [ 1XX Sb]Sb–TREN‐CAM complex remained intact for several days in human serum, signifying high stability under biological conditions. Finally, the first in vivo single photon emission computed tomography and positron emission tomography imaging studies were carried out using 117 Sb, the diagnostic analogue of 119 Sb. These studies revealed marked differences in the uptake and distribution of activity in mice administered unchelated [ 117 Sb]Sb(OH) 6 – versus [ 117 Sb]Sb–TREN‐CAM, suggesting that 117 Sb is largely retained by TREN‐CAM over the time course of the study. Collectively, these findings demonstrate the most physiologically stable complex of no‐carrier‐added 1XX Sb yet reported, offering new promise for the clinical implementation of radioantimony in nuclear medicine. Our results also establish the feasibility of 117 Sb as an elementally matched partner to 119 Sb for theranostic applications.

The main objective of the present study was to integrate {sup 18}F-FDG-PET/CT radiomics with multiblock discriminant analysis for predicting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (ES-NSCLC) treated with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).
