Materials Data on Zr3PO2 by Materials Project

Zr3PO2 is Caswellsilverite-like structured and crystallizes in the trigonal P-3m1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Zr+2.33+ sites. In the first Zr+2.33+ site, Zr+2.33+ is bonded to three equivalent P3- and three equivalent O2- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing ZrP3O3 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–3°. All Zr–P bond lengths are 2.60 Å. All Zr–O bond lengths are 2.40 Å. In the second Zr+2.33+ site, Zr+2.33+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing ZrO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 3°. All Zr–O bond lengths are 2.32 Å. P3- is bonded to six equivalent Zr+2.33+ atoms to form PZr6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent OZr6 octahedra, edges with six equivalent PZr6 octahedra, and edges with six equivalent OZr6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 6°. O2- is bonded to six Zr+2.33+ atoms to form OZr6 octahedra that share corners with three equivalent PZr6 octahedra, corners with three equivalent OZr6 octahedra, edges with three equivalent PZr6 octahedra, and edges with nine equivalent OZr6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–6°.

Materials Data on Zr2P2O9 by Materials Project

Zr2O(PO4)2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmce space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Zr4+ is bonded to seven O2- atoms to form ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramids that share a cornercorner with one ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramid, corners with four equivalent PO4 tetrahedra, edges with two equivalent ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramids, and an edgeedge with one PO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Zr–O bond distances ranging from 1.97–2.32 Å. P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramids and an edgeedge with one ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramid. There is two shorter (1.52 Å) and two longer (1.58 Å) P–O bond length. There are four inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Zr4+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Zr4+ and one P5+ atom.

Materials Data on ZrP2O7 by Materials Project

ZrP2O7 crystallizes in the cubic Pa-3 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Zr4+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form ZrO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent PO4 tetrahedra. All Zr–O bond lengths are 2.09 Å. P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with three equivalent ZrO6 octahedra and a cornercorner with one PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 9°. There is three shorter (1.52 Å) and one longer (1.58 Å) P–O bond length. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent P5+ atoms.

ZrP2O7 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnnm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Zr4+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form ZrO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent PO4 tetrahedra. All Zr–O bond lengths are 2.09 Å. P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with three equivalent ZrO6 octahedra and a cornercorner with one PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 4–11°. There is three shorter (1.52 Å) and one longer (1.58 Å) P–O bond length. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent P5+ atoms.

Zr2O(PO4)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Zr4+ sites. In the first Zr4+ site, Zr4+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form ZrO6 octahedra that share a cornercorner with one ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramid, corners with four PO4 tetrahedra, an edgeedge with one ZrO6 octahedra, and an edgeedge with one ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramid. There are a spread of Zr–O bond distances ranging from 2.04–2.20 Å. In the second Zr4+ site, Zr4+ is bonded to seven O2- atoms to form ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramids that share a cornercorner with one ZrO6 octahedra, corners with four PO4 tetrahedra, an edgeedge with one ZrO6 octahedra, an edgeedge with one ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramid, and an edgeedge with one PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 37°. There are a spread of Zr–O bond distances ranging from 2.08–2.35 Å. There are two inequivalent P5+ sites. In the first P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with three equivalent ZrO6 octahedra, a cornercorner with one ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramid, and an edgeedge with one ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramid. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 24–28°. There is two shorter (1.52 Å) and two longer (1.57 Å) P–O bond length. In the second P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share a cornercorner with one ZrO6 octahedra and corners with three equivalent ZrO7 pentagonal bipyramids. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 38°. There is two shorter (1.54 Å) and two longer (1.55 Å) P–O bond length. There are seven inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Zr4+ and one P5+ atom. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to three Zr4+ atoms.

Materials Data on ZrP2O9 by Materials Project

(Zr(PO4)2)2O2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of four water molecules and two Zr(PO4)2 sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. In each Zr(PO4)2 sheet, Zr is bonded to six O atoms to form ZrO6 octahedra that share corners with six PO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Zr–O bond distances ranging from 2.08–2.11 Å. There are two inequivalent P sites. In the first P site, P is bonded to four O atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with three equivalent ZrO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 13–34°. There is three shorter (1.54 Å) and one longer (1.56 Å) P–O bond length. In the second P site, P is bonded to four O atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with three equivalent ZrO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 19–33°. There is three shorter (1.54 Å) and one longer (1.57 Å) P–O bond length. There are eight inequivalent O sites. In the first O site, O is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Zr and one P atom. In the second O site, O is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one P atom. In the third O site, O is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Zr and one P atom. In the fourth O site, O is bonded in a linear geometry to one Zr and one P atom. In the fifth O site, O is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Zr and one P atom. In the sixth O site, O is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Zr and one P atom. In the seventh O site, O is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one P atom. In the eighth O site, O is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Zr and one P atom.
