Materials Data on NiPRh by Materials Project

RhNiP is Matlockite structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Rh is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ni and five equivalent P atoms. All Rh–Ni bond lengths are 2.79 Å. There are one shorter (2.28 Å) and four longer (2.58 Å) Rh–P bond lengths. Ni is bonded to four equivalent Rh and four equivalent P atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and face-sharing NiP4Rh4 cuboctahedra. All Ni–P bond lengths are 2.28 Å. P is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Rh and four equivalent Ni atoms.

Materials Data on NiPRh by Materials Project

RhNiP crystallizes in the orthorhombic Amm2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Rh sites. In the first Rh site, Rh is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to six Ni and five P atoms. There are four shorter (2.72 Å) and two longer (2.73 Å) Rh–Ni bond lengths. There are one shorter (2.34 Å) and four longer (2.55 Å) Rh–P bond lengths. In the second Rh site, Rh is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to six Ni and five P atoms. There are four shorter (2.72 Å) and two longer (2.74 Å) Rh–Ni bond lengths. There are one shorter (2.34 Å) and four longer (2.55 Å) Rh–P bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Ni sites. In the first Ni site, Ni is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to six Rh and four P atoms. There are two shorter (2.24 Å) and two longer (2.35 Å) Ni–P bond lengths. In the second Ni site, Ni is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to six Rh and four P atoms. There are a spread of Ni–P bond distances ranging from 2.24–2.35 Å. There are two inequivalent P sites. In the first P site, P is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to six Rh and three Ni atoms. In the second P site, P is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to three Rh and six Ni atoms.
