Materials Data on NdMgAg by Materials Project
NdAgMg crystallizes in the hexagonal P-62m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Nd and four Ag atoms. There are two shorter (3.44 Å) and four longer (3.54 Å) Mg–Nd bond lengths. There are two shorter (2.87 Å) and two longer (3.03 Å) Mg–Ag bond lengths. Nd is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Mg and five Ag atoms. There are four shorter (3.19 Å) and one longer (3.24 Å) Nd–Ag bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Ag sites. In the first Ag site, Ag is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Mg and three equivalent Nd atoms. In the second Ag site, Ag is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Mg and six equivalent Nd atoms.
