Materials Data on NaSmCu2F8 by Materials Project

NaSmCu2F8 crystallizes in the tetragonal I422 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na1+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent F1- atoms. All Na–F bond lengths are 2.45 Å. Sm3+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent F1- atoms. All Sm–F bond lengths are 2.34 Å. Cu2+ is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent F1- atoms. All Cu–F bond lengths are 1.92 Å. F1- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to one Na1+, one Sm3+, and one Cu2+ atom.
