Materials Data on MnPt2 by Materials Project
MnPt2 crystallizes in the trigonal P-3m1 space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of one MnPt2 sheet oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Mn4+ is bonded in a distorted hexagonal planar geometry to six equivalent Pt2- atoms. All Mn–Pt bond lengths are 2.64 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Mn4+ atoms.
