Materials Data on MnBePt2 by Materials Project
BeMnPt2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two BeMnPt2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Be2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Be–Pt bond lengths are 2.05 Å. Mn2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Mn–Pt bond lengths are 2.39 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Be2+ and one Mn2+ atom.
