Materials Data on Mg6V by Materials Project
Mg6V crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Mg and two equivalent V atoms. All Mg–Mg bond lengths are 3.06 Å. Both Mg–V bond lengths are 3.06 Å. V is bonded to twelve equivalent Mg atoms to form corner-sharing VMg12 cuboctahedra.
