Materials Data on Mg2SnHg by Materials Project
Mg2HgSn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Mg2HgSn ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to one Hg and one Sn atom. The Mg–Hg bond length is 2.78 Å. The Mg–Sn bond length is 2.76 Å. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms. Sn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms.
