Materials Data on Mg2PtAu by Materials Project
Mg2PtAu crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Mg2PtAu ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to one Pt and one Au atom. The Mg–Pt bond length is 2.42 Å. The Mg–Au bond length is 2.56 Å. Pt is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms. Au is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms.
