Materials Data on Mg2CdGa by Materials Project
Mg2CdGa crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Mg2CdGa ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd and one Ga atom. The Mg–Cd bond length is 2.81 Å. The Mg–Ga bond length is 2.71 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms. Ga is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms.
