Materials Data on LuAu4 by Materials Project
LuAu4 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Lu is bonded to twelve equivalent Au atoms to form a mixture of edge and face-sharing LuAu12 cuboctahedra. There are eight shorter (2.99 Å) and four longer (3.02 Å) Lu–Au bond lengths. Au is bonded to three equivalent Lu atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and edge-sharing AuLu3 cuboctahedra.
