Materials Data on LuPO4 by Materials Project

LuPO4 is Zircon structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/amd space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Lu3+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent O2- atoms. There are four shorter (2.27 Å) and four longer (2.34 Å) Lu–O bond lengths. P5+ is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four equivalent O2- atoms. All P–O bond lengths are 1.55 Å. O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Lu3+ and one P5+ atom.

Materials Data on LuP5O14 by Materials Project

LuP5O14 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Lu3+ sites. In the first Lu3+ site, Lu3+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Lu–O bond distances ranging from 2.29–2.33 Å. In the second Lu3+ site, Lu3+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Lu–O bond distances ranging from 2.24–2.38 Å. There are five inequivalent P5+ sites. In the first P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing PO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.48–1.59 Å. In the second P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing PO4 tetrahedra. There is one shorter (1.47 Å) and three longer (1.58 Å) P–O bond length. In the second Lu3+ site, Lu3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form LuO6 octahedra that share corners with six PO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Lu–O bond distances ranging from 2.18–2.21 Å. In the third Lu3+ site, Lu3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form LuO6 octahedra that share corners with six PO4 tetrahedra. There are four shorter (2.19 Å) and two longer (2.20 Å) Lu–O bond lengths. There are nine inequivalent P5+ sites. In the first P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two LuO6 octahedra and corners with two PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 25–31°. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.50–1.61 Å. In the second P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two LuO6 octahedra and corners with two PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 37–41°. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.50–1.62 Å. In the third P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two LuO6 octahedra and corners with two PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 27–28°. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.50–1.61 Å. In the fourth P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two LuO6 octahedra and corners with two PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 15–25°. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.49–1.61 Å. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 23–34°. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.49–1.62 Å. In the seventh P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two equivalent LuO6 octahedra and corners with two PO4 tetrahedra. There are four inequivalent P5+ sites. In the third P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with four LuO6 octahedra and a cornercorner with one PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 9–55°. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.52–1.62 Å. In the fourth P5+ site, P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two equivalent LuO6 octahedra and corners with two PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 25–37°. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.50–1.63 Å. There are thirteen inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to two Lu3+ and one P5+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to two P5+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Lu3+ and one P5+ atom. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Lu3+ and one P5+ atom. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Lu3+ and one P5+ atom. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Lu3+ and one P5+ atom. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one Lu3+ and one P5+ atom. Lu2P4O13 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Lu3+ sites. In the first Lu3+ site, Lu3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form LuO6 octahedra that share corners with six PO4 tetrahedra and an edgeedge with one LuO6 octahedra. Lu(PO3)3 crystallizes in the cubic I-43d space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Lu3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form LuO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent PO4 tetrahedra. There are three shorter (2.18 Å) and three longer (2.19 Å) Lu–O bond lengths. P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two equivalent LuO6 octahedra and corners with two equivalent PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 15–32°. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.49–1.61 Å. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to two equivalent P5+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to one Lu3+ and one P5+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to one Lu3+ and one P5+ atom.

Materials Data on LuPO2 by Materials Project

LuPO2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/a space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Lu is bonded to six equivalent O atoms to form edge-sharing LuO6 octahedra. There are a spread of Lu–O bond distances ranging from 2.23–2.29 Å. P is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent O atoms. There are two shorter (2.27 Å) and two longer (2.32 Å) P–O bond lengths. O is bonded to three equivalent Lu and two equivalent P atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and edge-sharing OLu3P2 trigonal bipyramids.
