Materials Data on LiTaPt2 by Materials Project
LiTaPt2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two LiTaPt2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Li1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Li–Pt bond lengths are 2.62 Å. Ta3+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Ta–Pt bond lengths are 2.32 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Li1+ and one Ta3+ atom.
