Materials Data on LaMg2Sc by Materials Project
Mg2LaSc crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Mg2LaSc ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to one La and one Sc atom. The Mg–La bond length is 3.11 Å. The Mg–Sc bond length is 3.00 Å. La is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms. Sc is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms.
