Materials Data on KO2F by Materials Project
(KOF)2O2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pmc2_1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional and consists of two water molecules and one KOF framework. In the KOF framework, K is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to three equivalent O and four equivalent F atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.84–3.08 Å. There are two shorter (2.64 Å) and two longer (2.67 Å) K–F bond lengths. O is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to three equivalent K atoms. F is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent K atoms.
