Materials Data on KCl3 by Materials Project
KClCl2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of four hydrochloric acid molecules and two KCl sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. In each KCl sheet, K is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Cl atoms. All K–Cl bond lengths are 2.90 Å. Cl is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent K atoms.
