Materials Data on KNpN3O11 by Materials Project

KNpN3O11 crystallizes in the trigonal R-3c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. K1+ is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to fourteen O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.96–3.37 Å. Np6+ is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to two equivalent O2- atoms. Both Np–O bond lengths are 1.79 Å. N5+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O2- atoms. There is one shorter (1.23 Å) and two longer (1.29 Å) N–O bond length. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to one K1+ and one N5+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a single-bond geometry to two equivalent K1+ and one N5+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to one K1+ and one Np6+ atom.
