Materials Data on HoZnSn by Materials Project

HoZnSn crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ho sites. In the first Ho site, Ho is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Zn and six equivalent Sn atoms. All Ho–Zn bond lengths are 2.98 Å. All Ho–Sn bond lengths are 3.39 Å. In the second Ho site, Ho is bonded to six equivalent Sn atoms to form distorted edge-sharing HoSn6 octahedra. All Ho–Sn bond lengths are 3.14 Å. Zn is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ho and three equivalent Sn atoms. All Zn–Sn bond lengths are 2.72 Å. Sn is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six Ho and three equivalent Zn atoms.

Materials Data on HoZnSn2 by Materials Project

HoZnSn2 is Parent of FeAs superconductors-derived structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ho is bonded to four equivalent Zn and eight Sn atoms to form a mixture of face, edge, and corner-sharing HoZn4Sn8 cuboctahedra. All Ho–Zn bond lengths are 3.29 Å. There are four shorter (3.14 Å) and four longer (3.29 Å) Ho–Sn bond lengths. Zn is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ho, four equivalent Zn, and four equivalent Sn atoms. All Zn–Zn bond lengths are 3.08 Å. All Zn–Sn bond lengths are 2.86 Å. There are two inequivalent Sn sites. In the first Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ho and four equivalent Sn atoms. All Sn–Sn bond lengths are 3.08 Å. In the second Sn site, Sn is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ho and four equivalent Zn atoms.
