Materials Data on Mg2TlHg by Materials Project
Mg2HgTl crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Mg2HgTl ribbons oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to one Hg and one Tl atom. The Mg–Hg bond length is 3.14 Å. The Mg–Tl bond length is 3.28 Å. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms. Tl is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms.
