Materials Data on La2HgIr by Materials Project
La2IrHg crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two La2IrHg ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. La is bonded in a linear geometry to one Ir and one Hg atom. The La–Ir bond length is 2.43 Å. The La–Hg bond length is 3.23 Å. Ir is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent La atoms. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent La atoms.
