Materials Data on Hf2Hg by Materials Project
Hf2Hg crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two Hf2Hg sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Hf is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Hg atoms. All Hf–Hg bond lengths are 3.06 Å. Hg is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Hf atoms.
