Materials Data on HfSnPd by Materials Project

PdHfSn is half-Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Hf is bonded to four equivalent Pd and six equivalent Sn atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and face-sharing HfSn6Pd4 tetrahedra. All Hf–Pd bond lengths are 2.76 Å. All Hf–Sn bond lengths are 3.18 Å. Pd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Hf and four equivalent Sn atoms. All Pd–Sn bond lengths are 2.76 Å. Sn is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Hf and four equivalent Pd atoms.

Materials Data on HfSnPd2 by Materials Project

Pd2HfSn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Pd2HfSn ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Hf is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pd atoms. Both Hf–Pd bond lengths are 2.30 Å. Pd is bonded in a linear geometry to one Hf and one Sn atom. The Pd–Sn bond length is 2.66 Å. Sn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pd atoms.
