Materials Data on NpH2 by Materials Project

NpH2 is Fluorite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Np is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent H atoms. All Np–H bond lengths are 2.26 Å. H is bonded to four equivalent Np atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing HNp4 tetrahedra.

Materials Data on NpH3 by Materials Project

NpH3 crystallizes in the trigonal P-3c1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Np3+ is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to eleven H1- atoms. There are a spread of Np–H bond distances ranging from 2.14–2.43 Å. There are three inequivalent H1- sites. In the first H1- site, H1- is bonded in a trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three equivalent Np3+ atoms. In the second H1- site, H1- is bonded to four equivalent Np3+ atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner, edge, and face-sharing HNp4 tetrahedra. In the third H1- site, H1- is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three equivalent Np3+ atoms.

Materials Data on Np3H by Materials Project

Np3H crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Np sites. In the first Np site, Np is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six Np and four equivalent H atoms. There are three shorter (2.46 Å) and three longer (2.80 Å) Np–Np bond lengths. There are three shorter (2.80 Å) and one longer (2.92 Å) Np–H bond lengths. In the second Np site, Np is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to six equivalent Np and three equivalent H atoms. All Np–H bond lengths are 2.17 Å. H is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to eleven Np atoms.
