Materials Data on RbGdTe4 by Materials Project

RbGdTe4 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nbm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Rb1+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Te1- atoms. All Rb–Te bond lengths are 3.81 Å. Gd3+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Te1- atoms. All Gd–Te bond lengths are 3.23 Å. Te1- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Rb1+, two equivalent Gd3+, and one Te1- atom. The Te–Te bond length is 2.84 Å.
