Materials Data on La3(GaNi)2 by Materials Project

La3Ni2Ga2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent La sites. In the first La site, La is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ni and five Ga atoms. All La–Ni bond lengths are 3.20 Å. There are a spread of La–Ga bond distances ranging from 3.07–3.30 Å. In the second La site, La is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ni and five Ga atoms. There are a spread of La–Ni bond distances ranging from 2.82–3.35 Å. There are a spread of La–Ga bond distances ranging from 3.19–3.43 Å. Ni is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six La, one Ni, and three Ga atoms. The Ni–Ni bond length is 2.70 Å. There are a spread of Ni–Ga bond distances ranging from 2.54–2.64 Å. There are two inequivalent Ga sites. In the first Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to seven La and two equivalent Ni atoms. In the second Ga site, Ga is bonded to eight La and four equivalent Ni atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner, edge, and face-sharing GaLa8Ni4 cuboctahedra.

Materials Data on La2Ga12Ni by Materials Project

La2NiGa12 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nbm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to fourteen Ga atoms. There are a spread of La–Ga bond distances ranging from 3.22–3.41 Å. Ni is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Ga atoms. All Ni–Ga bond lengths are 2.53 Å. There are four inequivalent Ga sites. In the first Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent La and five Ga atoms. There are one shorter (2.50 Å) and four longer (2.66 Å) Ga–Ga bond lengths. In the second Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent La, two equivalent Ni, and three Ga atoms. The Ga–Ga bond length is 2.62 Å. In the third Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent La and five Ga atoms. All Ga–Ga bond lengths are 2.64 Å. In the fourth Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to one La and three Ga atoms. The Ga–Ga bond length is 2.57 Å.

Materials Data on La3(GaNi2)2 by Materials Project

La3(Ni2Ga)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent La sites. In the first La site, La is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six Ni and four equivalent Ga atoms. There are a spread of La–Ni bond distances ranging from 2.88–3.09 Å. There are a spread of La–Ga bond distances ranging from 3.19–3.36 Å. In the second La site, La is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to eight Ni and six equivalent Ga atoms. There are a spread of La–Ni bond distances ranging from 2.86–3.26 Å. There are four shorter (3.46 Å) and two longer (3.49 Å) La–Ga bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Ni sites. In the first Ni site, Ni is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four La, three Ni, and three equivalent Ga atoms. There are two shorter (2.58 Å) and one longer (2.69 Å) Ni–Ni bond lengths. There are two shorter (2.46 Å) and one longer (2.48 Å) Ni–Ga bond lengths. In the second Ni site, Ni is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six La, two Ni, and two equivalent Ga atoms. The Ni–Ni bond length is 2.68 Å. Both Ni–Ga bond lengths are 2.56 Å. Ga is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to seven La and five Ni atoms.

Materials Data on LaGaNi by Materials Project

LaNiGa crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ni and six equivalent Ga atoms. There are a spread of La–Ni bond distances ranging from 2.89–3.06 Å. There are a spread of La–Ga bond distances ranging from 3.23–3.62 Å. Ni is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent La, one Ni, and four equivalent Ga atoms. The Ni–Ni bond length is 2.32 Å. There are a spread of Ni–Ga bond distances ranging from 2.62–2.93 Å. Ga is bonded to six equivalent La, four equivalent Ni, and two equivalent Ga atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner, edge, and face-sharing GaLa6Ga2Ni4 cuboctahedra. Both Ga–Ga bond lengths are 2.79 Å.

Materials Data on LaGa2Ni by Materials Project

LaNiGa2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Ni and ten Ga atoms. All La–Ni bond lengths are 3.26 Å. There are a spread of La–Ga bond distances ranging from 3.24–3.38 Å. Ni is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four equivalent La, one Ni, and five Ga atoms. The Ni–Ni bond length is 2.49 Å. There are a spread of Ni–Ga bond distances ranging from 2.43–2.48 Å. There are three inequivalent Ga sites. In the first Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent La and four equivalent Ni atoms. In the second Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent La and four equivalent Ni atoms. In the third Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to six equivalent La, one Ni, and two equivalent Ga atoms. Both Ga–Ga bond lengths are 2.59 Å.
