Materials Data on EuN2 by Materials Project
EuN2 is beta Vanadium nitride-like structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/amd space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu2+ is bonded to six equivalent N1- atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and edge-sharing EuN6 pentagonal pyramids. All Eu–N bond lengths are 2.35 Å. N1- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Eu2+ atoms.
