Materials Data on Eu3P by Materials Project
Eu3P crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent P atoms. There are two shorter (3.22 Å) and two longer (3.51 Å) Eu–P bond lengths. P is bonded to twelve equivalent Eu atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing PEu12 cuboctahedra.
