Materials Data on Dy3Mn3Ga2Si by Materials Project

Dy3Mn3SiGa2 crystallizes in the hexagonal P-62m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Dy is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Mn, four equivalent Ga, and one Si atom. There are four shorter (3.17 Å) and two longer (3.31 Å) Dy–Mn bond lengths. All Dy–Ga bond lengths are 2.92 Å. The Dy–Si bond length is 2.88 Å. Mn is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy, two equivalent Mn, two equivalent Ga, and two equivalent Si atoms. Both Mn–Mn bond lengths are 2.73 Å. Both Mn–Ga bond lengths are 2.86 Å. Both Mn–Si bond lengths are 2.51 Å. Ga is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy and three equivalent Mn atoms. Si is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Dy and six equivalent Mn atoms.

Materials Data on Dy3Mn3Ga2Si by Materials Project

Dy3Mn3SiGa2 crystallizes in the hexagonal P-6 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Dy is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Mn, three Ga, and two equivalent Si atoms. There are a spread of Dy–Mn bond distances ranging from 3.17–3.35 Å. There are one shorter (2.93 Å) and two longer (2.96 Å) Dy–Ga bond lengths. Both Dy–Si bond lengths are 2.93 Å. Mn is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy, two equivalent Mn, three Ga, and one Si atom. Both Mn–Mn bond lengths are 2.85 Å. There are two shorter (2.65 Å) and one longer (2.78 Å) Mn–Ga bond lengths. The Mn–Si bond length is 2.68 Å. There are two inequivalent Ga sites. In the first Ga site, Ga is bonded in a distorted q6 geometry to three equivalent Dy and six equivalent Mn atoms. In the second Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy and three equivalent Mn atoms. Si is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy and three equivalent Mn atoms.
